What BP Could Have Bought With the Money Lost Due to Oil Spill

Wondering how much money BP lost with the oil spill in Mexico golf? Visualeconomics.com published a brilliant visualization.

Image: All the things BP could buy with the money lost from the oil spill

When big numbers are out of reach for our minds, it is good to compare with things we can understand. This visualization is a good example.

I already wrote about this subject in the post: Audience will not understand your numbers.

This graphic helps us understand how much money is $ 100,000,000,000.

A picture is worth the proverbial 1000 words, isn’t it?

We think in terms of pictures.

Even a linear thinker will see something red and round if I say ‘apple’. They will not visualize the letters a-p-p-l-e.

With powerpoint, the best slides have have little if any text. YOU, the presenter should supply the text.

      I totally agree.

When using PowerPoint in front of an audience, you should use as less text as possible.

I already wrote about this: Why You Should Put Less Text in Your Slides and How to reduce the text in your slides

      Thanks for your comment

Ask the humorist Mike Ward where he bought the one is wearing in his show. You know, he have a fixation on those shirts.
